Submission Rules & Gallery Terms

Make something wonderful. Share it responsibly. Keep the field welcoming.

Hedge and Harvest · Version 1.0 · 28 October 2026

1. Your creation, your responsibility

You are responsible for the image, title, display name, description, and any other material you submit. You confirm that you made the creation in Hedge and Harvest, have the rights and permissions needed to share it, and that submitting it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights. Do not impersonate someone or submit another person’s work as your own.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you are a minor where you live, have a parent or legal guardian review these terms and submit on your behalf. Do not include your age, school, address, contact details, or other private information.

2. Keep it suitable for a general audience

These rules apply to pictures and to every word submitted with them. Do not submit:

  • Sexual or pornographic material, sexual exploitation, or sexualized depictions of minors.
  • Hate symbols, racism, misogyny, or attacks on people because of protected characteristics.
  • Threats, targeted harassment, bullying, degrading attacks, or encouragement of violence or self-harm.
  • Graphic violence, gore, animal cruelty, or promotion of illegal activity.
  • Personal or confidential information, doxxing, or images of others without necessary permission.
  • Stolen artwork, copyright or trademark infringement, deceptive impersonation, spam, or malicious files.

Clever, silly, wonky, and ambitious are welcome. A harmless funny failure may be considered for a private shortlist; offensive material will not be treated as a joke or published for laughs.

3. How selection works

This is a curated gallery, not an automatic public upload feed. Submissions stay private during review. Dan may use AI tools to assist with screening and selection, and makes the final publishing decision.

We aim to make reasonable efforts to choose high-quality, creative, entertaining work that meets these rules. Quality and suitability are matters of judgment. Submission does not guarantee publication, a particular ranking, payment, feedback, or review within a particular time. We may decline a submission, request changes, limit repeat submissions, or remove an image later.

Review can make mistakes. We do not promise that screening will catch every issue or that every published image will suit every viewer. Please report concerns so they can be considered.

4. You keep ownership; you give limited permission

You keep any rights you hold in your submitted work. You give Apps by Dan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store and review your submission, including with AI-assisted tools, and, if selected, to reproduce and display it in the Apps by Dan Hedge and Harvest gallery with your chosen display name, title, and description.

This permission includes resizing, compression, metadata removal, accessibility descriptions, and reasonable formatting or caption edits that preserve the meaning of your work. We will ask before making a substantial creative change. This permission does not cover selling your image or using it in unrelated advertising or social-media campaigns.

You can request withdrawal or removal by email. Removal from the live gallery does not necessarily remove copies already cached, downloaded by visitors, or retained in backups or repository history. No payment is offered for submissions or gallery selection.

5. Uploads, privacy, and practical limits

Upload one image per submission through the linked Google Form, subject to the file types and size limit shown there. Exported PNG pictures are preferred. Do not upload executable files or creation files in place of pictures.

Google Forms requires Google sign-in for file uploads. Google processes account and upload information under its own terms and privacy policy. The form and its uploaded files are stored in Dan’s private Google Drive. A chosen image and its approved public credit and caption are copied to the public website only after selection. Do not assume that a Google upload is anonymous.

Review data and unselected work are not a public gallery. Access is limited to Dan and authorized tools used for review. Submissions may be kept while awaiting review or managing the gallery; rejected or withdrawn material may be deleted. Contact Dan to request removal of your submission and associated information, subject to any lawful retention requirements and practical backup limits.

6. Availability and limits of responsibility

Hedge and Harvest is a creative tool. Player-created images express their creators’ choices and do not necessarily represent or carry the endorsement of Apps by Dan. Creators remain responsible for the material they make and submit.

The game, submission process, and gallery are offered on an “as available” basis. Keep your own copy: storage, uninterrupted access, permanent publication, and recovery of lost submissions are not guaranteed.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Apps by Dan disclaims implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the game, submission process, or gallery. These terms do not exclude or limit liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights. They do not remove any legal duties Apps by Dan has as the operator of this site.

7. Reporting and removal

To report prohibited content, a rights violation, a privacy concern, or to withdraw a submission, email odysseypages@gmail.com with the image title or page link, the issue, and any information needed to identify your work or rights. Do not send additional unlawful material as proof. Reports will be considered and content may be removed while a concern is reviewed; no specific response time is guaranteed.

8. Your agreement

Submitting requires an explicit agreement checkbox in the Google Form. Its wording identifies this version of the terms, and your acceptance is recorded with your submission. A checkbox on this website alone is not the submission record.

Future changes will have a new version and date. New terms apply to future submissions; they do not silently expand the permission given for an earlier submission.
